Operations Manager
Qualified to Toolpusher level in drilling operations management, Patrick has over 25 years’ oilfield experience including the last 15 years involved in management and delivery of P&A operations.
His expertise extends to include coiled tubing and hydraulic workover operations

Patrick is a talented wind surfer and will never say no to a hockey game!
Chief Commercial Officer
Erlend holds a bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Bergen, Norway. He has 15 years of experience in the oil field, which includes development and field trial of new multilateral liner hanger systems and drilling with liner systems.
The past 10 years he´s held various operational positions with HydraWell before becoming the Sales Manager in 2018.
Erlend has contributed to the continuous development of HydraWell's proprietary technology, PWC, Perf-Wash-Cement®, both onshore and offshore.
Fun fact:
Erlend can solve a Rubiks Cube in under 10 seconds and likes to run 4 times a week training for the Marathon.
Chief Operating Officer
Eivind specialized Well Intervention and Well Technology at Technical College and now has more than 15 years oilfield experience focused on well operations planning and execution supervision.
With experience in the North Sea, Gulf of Mexico, Middle East, SE Asia and Canada, he has built extensive knowledge of PWC and capability optimizing operational procedures and downhole equipment performance.
Global Operations and Delivery Manager
Sander started his career as a trainee at Baker Hughes back in 2011. He graduated the trainee program in 2013 and continued to install completions offshore until he joined Hydrawell in May 2015. With Hydrawell he quickly became Offshore supervisor, leading our operations in the field.
With 10 years of experience in the North Sea, Africa, Middle East, SE Asia and Canada, he has built extensive knowledge of PWC and capability optimizing operational procedures and downhole equipment performance.
Fun fact:
Even though Sander is playing darts all the time, he always loses to Stein Ivar and Erlend.
QHSE Manager
Gro has been with HydraWell since the very start. She has a total of 25 years in the oil service industry and holds certifications as Quality System Manager, Quality Lead Auditor and Risk Manager. Previous experience from logistics, inventory control, finance and customer support is highly appreciated in her role with HydraWell as the QHSE Manager.
Maintenance Supervisor
Vocational Elementary Level, Mechanics. Started my career in the Oil Industry in 1984 as a mechanic at Tri-State. Has worked at Baker Oil Tools, Smith International as Operation Supervisor. Worked as Operation Supervisor at HydraWell since December 2010. I am focused on working in accordance with our HSE goals, so that we get flawless deliveries.
Fun fact: Inge likes to keep his BMW X-5 clean and pretty, and to go hiking and cycling in the Alps.
Fun fact 2: He´s a massive 'Gunners' fan, so his motto is always: "wait 'till next season..."
Account Manager
Calum holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management as well as other technical related qualifications and has over 15 years supervisory and management experience in the oilfield service sector. His background is in Tubing Conveyed Perforating having performed a variety of roles both on and offshore during his career.
Calum gained extensive experience in the North Sea with a major service company before setting up our UK business unit in 2016, and now looks after our global operations which include the UK, Australia and Brazil amongst others.
Fun fact:
He was a twice Scottish champion drummer in his teenage years and has been an Aberdeen FC season ticket holder for over 10 years.
Operations Engineer
George began his career in the Oil & Gas Industry back in 2009 after originally obtaining his qualifications in another industry sector.
Since then, George has gained extensive field experience with major service companies in both the UK and Internationally, with his background in Slickline and Cased Hole Completions before joining Hydrawell in 2018. With Hydrawell he quickly became Focal Point for UK Operations and has built strong relations with our clients, where he has built broad knowledge of PWC and optimizing operational procedures and downhole equipment performance.
Fun Fact:
During his Slickline days, George was part of the crew that successfully pulled a “New World Record length core” on wire of 56.4mtr for a Multi-National Operator on a landsite in Poland (which to date has still never been achieved elsewhere)
Outside of work George can be found on the golf course or standing watching his beloved Aberdeen FC!
Asia Business Development Manager
John brings over 20 years of international experience in well construction, interventions, production optimisation, and plug & abandonment (P&A) across both conventional and unconventional operations. His career spans onshore and offshore environments, with a strong track record of leading complex, integrated projects throughout Southeast Asia and beyond.
Since relocating to Malaysia in 2013, John has held senior roles with several major oilfield service companies. He joined HydraWell in 2019 and now plays a key role as a technical and strategic consultant, supporting P&A operations across the Asia Pacific region.
Australia Business Development Manager
Ivar brings over 40 years of global experience in the oil and gas industry, beginning his career as a roughneck in 1979 and later spending 24 years with Statoil (now Equinor), focusing on exploration and deep-water drilling across the Norwegian Continental Shelf and international locations including Nigeria, the U.S., Iran, and Algeria. He has held senior roles such as Drilling Manager in Ghana, Operations Manager in Algeria, and Drilling Superintendent in Nigeria.
Since joining HydraWell in 2021, Ivar has led business development efforts in Australia, drawing on his vast technical and operational expertise.
Fun fact:
Ivar has worked on every continent during his extensive career in drilling.
Brazil Business Development Manager
Samuel is a Chemical Engineer with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong background in cementing, stimulation, sand control, completions, and well intervention. He has worked across Latin America, Africa, and the United States, holding key positions in operations, engineering, and business development.
Fun fact:
When he's not developing business strategies, Samuel enjoys swimming, practicing judo, and listening to rock'n'roll.
